Day 1-2: Eyebrows will become 2-3 times darker in color, appear thicker in size looking almost 3D and could also appear uneven in shape.
Day 3-7: Eyebrows will still be dark and will begin the scabbing phase. As scabs begin to fall off the area under the scab will appear light or almost as if there is no color there - this is normal and to be expected. Do not pick the scabs.
Day 7-10: Eyebrows will appear patchier in color and the scabbing phase is almost complete. If any loose scabs are stuck on an eyebrow hair then you may gently use a cotton swab or spoolie to remove scab.
Day 10-14: Eyebrows will appear their lightest in color during this phase. Eyebrows may also appear patchier in color. Some areas/hair strokes might appear darker or lighter than others. This is to be expected. True shape and true color results will appear between week 3-6. Be patient.
Day 14: YOU CAN NOW WASH YOUR BROWS! If any scabs remain on the eyebrows it is now ok to wash them off and proceed with your normal skin care and makeup routine. Pigment will be at its lightest in color but will soon darken again. This is normal and to be expected. You may fill in with your makeup if desired.
Week 3-6: Color will start reappearing and darkening in color. Skin will appear fully healed but it it NOT fully healed from underneath. Skin type and client's age determine how long eyebrows will take to fully heal. The younger the skin the quickest it will heal is 4 weeks. More mature skin can take as long as 6-8 weeks to be completely healed. Once healed, it is normal if there are bald spots or loss of original hair stroke in places. Every clients skin type is different and skin is an uneven texture. Because of this, a touch-up is offered 6-8 weeks following the initial procedure to perfect the brow.
Long Term Care:
- Using a good sunscreen on your brows (Sunscreens with Zinc or Titanium Dioxide as first ingredients)
- Any future MRI scans, chemical peels or laser procedures, please inform your technician and or care provider of your permanent cosmetics
- Use of RetinA/Retinol/Tretinoin, chemical peels and acid peels or any other rapid skin exfoliation products used on the forehead area will cause the permanent makeup of the eyebrow are to fade prematurely
- Any face makeup directly on the eyebrows will make the color appear different. If desired, keep eyebrow area free of makeup to reveal brow pigment color
